Leadership Styles and Qualities

Favorable and Unfavorable Leaders

Leadership qualities are certainly an essential aspect of the work of any organization. Some people are very skillfully disposed to themselves and contribute to the quality of the work. The following qualities and features can be distinguished, which were learned from the experience of working in various organizations. It is obvious that it takes practice to become a good leader (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018). Many people rose to a leadership position and failed miserably. This is because they do not understand what leadership is. They only see the power they possess, not the responsibility that comes with that power.

A natural leader understands that it is needed to listen to the team, not just hear it. The ability to listen to the team and understand the problems helps create a favorable working environment for all team members. If this is achieved, then the productivity of employees increases (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018). Moreover, such leaders often communicate as efficiently as possible. Interaction means that the leader discusses the tasks and makes sure that the directions and goals are understood. In addition, favorable leaders are always an example for the employees, because they consider themselves responsible for their actions. This helps the team know what is expected of them.

The negative experience of unfavorable leaders is much less, but one significant feature can be highlighted. They quite often tend to delegate tasks, which reduces their level of involvement in the workflow. Such people believe that if they manage to take the manager position, they can finally breathe easy and appoint a business manager who will do everything right. Moreover, the leader will walk around the office, motivate people and start intelligent conversations. Managing is always difficult; delving into all aspects of an organization is highly exhausting (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018). An intelligent leader will never give up control. Knowing every nook and cranny of an organization, every person by name, being aware of every problem, and working out solutions is the task of a leader.

I Am as a Leader Now

At the moment, my leadership qualities are under development process. It is evident that some people have a natural predisposition. However, most need to improve their skills day by day. There are some qualities that I would like to highlight in myself that help develops the leadership skills. Firstly, it is the ability to identify mentors and role models. It is necessary to learn from people who have experience of being a leader. They can help understand what works and what does not in leading a diverse team. In addition, I am aware of my strengths and weaknesses, and I am working on improving them every day.

Other People’s View of My Leadership Qualities

In many ways, other people’s opinion about leadership qualities comes from interaction at work or at university. Many friends consider me a reasonably consistent and reliable person. This is manifested in constancy, as well as in the firmness of the decisions made. Furthermore, I am considered an honest and responsible leader who does not look for excuses. This is certainly important since excuses are just reasons to give up success. Leaders admit their mistakes in order to eliminate the search for the causes of failure and focus more on solving them.

Ideal Leader

A natural leader understands precisely what they do because it provides them the opportunity to lead others. In another circumstance, they will be merely a minor part of a large group. Building confidence well, dealing with what is going on inside the mind, and comprehending and listening to your own emotions, feelings, and intuition at the correct time is necessary for a true leader. (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018). These common experiences assist people in appropriately orienting themselves in what is occurring and recognizing the opportunity that life thoughtfully gives at the right moment. A natural leader cannot be controlled; they cannot be led away from the desired course – after all, they are the embodiment of what they intend.

The leaders must be calm, sober-minded, confident in themselves and in their abilities. All of these critical characteristics enable them to act appropriately in certain critical situations. Since of these abilities, people might occasionally take a risk in some form because their drive and courage are strengthened in certain critical situations (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018). Adequate self-confidence allows a leader’s talents to expand considerably, resulting in a new beneficial life experience. Typically, such people display far more self-assurance than their followers.

Steps of Becoming an Ideal Leader

To become an ideal leader, several specific steps must be taken. Firstly, it is a competent understanding of its opposing sides. This should manifest itself in the fact that it is necessary to improve the interaction with other people, learn to find a common language, and understand without words (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018). Secondly, it is the observation of those people who are considered the most successful leaders. However, it is necessary to understand that each person has different types of leadership. Therefore, it is imperative to realize which features of behavior are the most comfortable and essential.
